Someone's trying to kill Sheppard

It's a story I read quite a while ago, and the only thing I really remember is, they've taken a new bunch of soldiers and scientists off-world and they are in an area that has a lot of really large rocks, and they are near water.  Most everyone is out of sight of the others when suddenly there is shooting and Sheppard is shot.  He falls down behind

Yep, that is the one I was looking for. Yeah, I'd love to see this one finished and a few others of FourSilverArrows also.
