Awesome! It's been a long time since I read A Wrinkle in Time, but this was so cool. I want to go back and read it again now!

Thank you! Though it was almost a year ago, I remember being vaguely disappointed when I reread the book, and it seemed to call for some kind of rewrite where things turned out a little differently. Sorry for the super delayed reply, but I really appreciated your comment.

"A Wrinkle in Time" started my love affair with science fiction, and to have you put my two favourite boys in it is wonderful.

I'm glad you liked it! John and Rodney seemed to fit into the story so well (especially the line of Meg's when she realizes she has to be the one to save Charles Wallace. So so Rodney.) Sorry for the super delayed reply, but I really appreciated your comment.

I loved that book so much I named my business after it. This rocks.

Wait, seriously, what did you name your business?

Also, I'm glad you liked it! Sorry my response has been so ridiculously delayed, but I was glad to get your comment.

My original retail store and now on-line business is called A Wrinkle In Time (www.awit.com) and we'd planned, if we ever expanded to multiple stores, the next would be A Swiftly Tilting Planet. I started out as a science fiction super store, but now mainly sell tv and movie memorabilia over sci fi (like show t-shirts, autographs, whatever).

That is pretty freaking amazing. Man, naming stuff really is awesome. That's something SGA got right.

Oh, thank you so much, santa! I'm sorry I'm so late to the party - I can't comment to LJ from work... and now I've been working on deadline-tight material, so the comment window's been sitting open all night. I'm sorry to be such an untimely recipient! :(

Despite (eep) not knowing the source material, I really loved this story! The atmosphere you set up in the first section is really lovely, and I really like John's observations about flying. I love it when people describe John and his love of flying.

I also really adore John's misunderstanding of Rodney's forthright discussion of John's attraction on the end; it's so like him to not get that Rodney's just talking about it the way Rodney does, and that of course Rodney loves him too!

Thank you so much, santa! I really loved my story, and I'm sorry I took so long to tell you how much.

So, almost a year later...I'm so so glad you liked the story, despite not knowing the source materials. I think the part about John flying is one of my favorites, so I'm really glad to hear you enjoyed that as well. And I really am sorry for not replying sooner--it was really fun to try and write a story for you.
