Ok, seriously flailing with love, here. Thank you so much for writing for my birthday! And you wrote about my home town! Aww.

Loved so many little things about this--the weather is classic Denver in June, with the quick storms and the hail. I love especially how the sun stays out during these little flash storms. And hiding under an overpass 'til it's over.

The language of Rodney being even more foreign than Ancient, but John gets it without words anyway. *meep*

But, oh, Rodney's hands. *flailsquee* So much love for Rodney's big hands. Guh. I love the comparison of John's being headfirst to Rodney's hand-first. Because he IS! With the flapping and the snapping, the fluttering fingers and pointing and taking things apart and putting them back together.

Lovely, lovely fic--I enjoyed so much! *kisses*

Thank you!!!! With praise like this, you certainly made it worth my while to write!

The storms are something I miss about the Western US--we get thunderstorms on the East Coast too, but nothing beats those big, dark, violent storms that come out of nowhere in the huge skies out West. I need another cross-country road trip.

I'm so glad you liked it!

(This is the closest I have to a hand-porn icon. Mmmmm, Rodney's hands.)

Mmmm. Very hot.

(Though I can't help thinking things like, "Which highway are they on?" *g* The perils of living where a story is set.)

It's been a while, but I remember a loooooong drive from downtown to the airport, even when there's no traffic and no weather.

Thanks!

And see, I start to react with, "Oh, it's not really that long a drive. It's just 30-45 minutes from my...house.... Oh." *koff* Apparently because I'm stuck with it, my brain has chosen to forget that it's a long-ass drive out there. *g*

I think I've been in that hailstorm, too.

I got spoiled living in Queens ten minutes away from La Guardia. And now I'm on the West Side of Manhattan and it's a twenty minute train ride from Newark.

Apparently because I'm stuck with it, my brain has chosen to forget that it's a long-ass drive out there. *g*

That's better than dwelling on it *g*. Whenever I've been to Denver we've joked that the airport is actually in Utah.

Oh, that was great. I felt like I was there with them in the car; the storm was so real, the deafening noise of it. Really well done. (Also quite sexy, but I think the visceral experience of the storm made me even happier. Er. Maybe it's because I haven't been in the middle of a nice hailstorm for too long.) Thanks for sharing this. :)

Thanks!

I find storms pretty sexy even without the addition of actual sex *g*. I'm glad you liked it!

I really liked this, peculiarly for some reason the details about how hailstone are formed *g* You got in lots of good detail and tied it all together - good job.

Oh man, storms across Colorado are one of my favorite things *ever*. You captured it so well. Not to mention, marble-sized hail. Ouch.

Cool story.

When I was driving across the US, I got caught in more than one storm like that--never got bigger than pea-sized hail, but still. I love storms.

Thanks for reading!
