He wasn’t blind, He’d seen Young’s trips into to Colonel Telford’s Private quarters often enough to know what they where doing.
It wasn’t jealousy, he told himself, he didn’t own Colonel Young, the man was married back on Earth, he was just a sexual partner.
Nothing more, nothing less.
But he didn’t feel the clenching anger when Young mentioned his wife, not the way he felt it while watching the younger man stand outside Telford’s room.
Rush couldn’t help standing outside the solid piece of metal between him and his lover.
He couldn’t help listening to the sounds emanating from that room, trying to compare them to the noises he pulled from Young when they where together.
It wasn’t jealousy.
It was a scientific desire to know what was on the other side of the address.

Entering the address before they where ready, knowing Telford would fly out to fight and would be unable to get into the Gateroom in time to join them on the other side.
Forcing Young to take up a command he didn’t want, forcing him away from Earth, away from wife and family.
Away from Telford.
