It was a truism that no-one can guard anything forever. So she simply waited until the medic had left Young's side, and then and only then did she step into the room...and stood there, waiting, head tilted slightly, watching him.
When Young opened his eyes, he saw her standing there. "Finding this interesting, are we?"
"We are," Aten replied, the briefest of eye-flashes.
"So you're the Goa'uld, then?" Telford and O'Neill said we had one on the base - one that's on our side.
A simple nod.
"You got a name?"
"Aten. My host is Merrin."
Young tried to nod, but winced when it hurt. Only me and Wray know there's a goa'uld on this ship, so it doesn't really matter if she likes it - we have to call her by the host's name. "You know who attacked us?"
"The family of Ra," Aten replied.
" 'kay. You have any of those healing devices on you?"
"To use an idiom of your nation, I came through the stargate to this ship with only the clothes on my host."
"Damn."
"Yes, very much so," Aten agreed.
"So what are your plans now?" Young asked.
"Ascertain the situation, and proceede from there."
"You, me, and the rest of us."
"Indeed."
