I have never been as grossed out by a fandom as I am with The Musketeers. The way many of them are talking about the female characters is disgusting.

It's a little depressing when you feel like the only one who likes a certain character.

It's interesting how there are people who blame the characters of plot holes or something convoluted in a show as if the characters are autonomis beings and others will blame the writers of the show.

I guess it was inevitable, but to be honest it amuses me this time around.

Introduce a female character as a regular character and love interest for one of the lead male characters and the fandom go boom.

It's like a train wreck and I can't stop looking.

It's really sad that I get anxious when I see the female lead listed as a main character in a fic. It's even more sad that when I look at the warning in the fic that it says the female character is written as a nasty person when that is not true of the character in canon.

I have what is probably an odd question. What is this obsession with penguins in the Stargate fandom? I've seen it from all quarters of the fandom for fans of both shows and of various ships. It's just something I've seen occasionally.

Sometimes fandom makes me feel like I'm back in High School.

So there I was complaining about GW yesterday and today I'm posting there three or four times. I realized instead of complaining I need to be a positive influence on things. Well, this is weird. I made a post on my LJ, but it disappeared and re-appeared after posting this one. I deleted the previous one anyway. I was saying I need to cut way back on GW now.
