Customized comment pages turned on, for now
It's been so quiet lately that I haven't tried to comment on LJ since the changes to the comment pages was implemented. Now, I find that I can't choose an icon when I comment in Firefox. ARGH.
So I have temporarily switched to customized comment pages on my own journal, where the dropdown text menu for choosing which icon to use in your comment is still available. I don't like it much, since it means the margins on the page are narrower, but it seems to be the lesser of two evils.
If anyone knows of some kind of patch that will allow me to use the dropdown text menu in regular comment pages -- I prefer them, since it's neat and clean and you can focus on, y'know, reading the actual entry -- I would deeply appreciate it.
(Five days left of paid time, sigh. It was fun while it lasted. At least we can all edit comments now when we mess up HTML.)
