Alphabet Soup, update and open
I want to give an update to all the dedicated Soup authors, because this long a delay is pretty much unprecendented:
A few people ran overtime but remained in touch with me, and the last of these submitted her fic yesterday morning. However, we still have one outstanding Soup ficlet. The author is someone who has always been very reliable in the past - even writing backup fics on occasion - and since she hasn't responded to her e-mails at all, I'm going to assume that she's off-line for some reason beyond her control.
So I am throwing the final Crossover Soup ficlet open to all and any comers, even if you've already contributed to the Soup. You cannot use any of these the following fandoms:
Amelia Peabody
Battlestar Galactica
Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure
Bones
Chronicles of Narnia
Chuck
Discworld
Doctor Who
Firefly
Gilmore Girls
Howl's Moving Castle

Leverage

X-Files and Red Dwarf were originally on the list but were not written in the end, so those two are still available. Any other fandom is also fair game. Oracle hacks into the SGC computer? A wormhole takes the team to a galaxy far, far away? 100 words minimum! You may use either G or V as your letter.
I would also like to add that it's driving me crazy that I haven't had a chance to read the stories yet! I'll get to it, don't worry. :) But all my time has been taken up with coding and trimming the LJ version of the anthology. The authors were particularly enthusiastic this round - we have 57,000 (!!!!) words in the entire anthology! Go try cutting 340K worth of text to fit into LJ's maximum allowance of 64K per entry, heh.
Anyway. As soon as we get that last crossover ficlet submitted, I'll be able to post the entire anthology and settle down to some very happy reading. So if you've got time to spare to write 100 words minimum of gen crossover fic, please do!
