A word, first: We were elated to see the way icon makers stepped up to the challenge and produced an amazing array of gorgeous icons. - 5: There is really nothing significant about this icon. It literally feels like just a picture.

+ 5: nice clear coloring - the green of the trees and blue of the sky is very striking and beautiful.

+ 7: captures the focus perfectly & coloring is good without being overpowering
+ 7: The coloring on this is lovely. The gate has a very isolated, forlorn look to it that makes it really interesting.
+ 7: Lovely image quality. Beautifully delicate colouring, and use of textures.
+ 7: The crop is good and the colors are amazing. I love the way the people are centered so in one way they're the focus but on the other hand they're small enough so that they're totally overwhelmed by the space around them.

+ 1: the coloring gives it a great feeling of peace, which combined with a great cropping provides a great team feeling
+ 1: The crop and proportion of the gate in the frame are just right. Some other icon makers used this same pic and made beautiful icons, but the size of the gate in theirs makes it look like it's a snow globe. This icon captures the beautiful landscape beyond the gate, but still gives the sense of our team, heading off to new adventures.

- 34: I feel like the content of the image isn't strong enough to support the brightness, particularly because the focus of the icon ends up being the sky.
- 34: Image is oversharpened. There's some pixilation in the tree and rock details. Also, the icon is overly bright, washing out the colours.

- 35: The segmenting was an interesting technique, but I wish the text had been left out. It pulled my focus enough that I almost completely missed that the tryptich was giving me three completely different views of the 'gate, because my eye kept getting drawn to the words.
+ 35: Brilliant Use of multi-caps, nice coloring, great font choice and text placement. Just an overall great icon. (Also, I'd like to know if this one is usable)
+ 35: Very creative. I like the idea of putting the different gates into one image.
+ 35: This is almost obscenely clever, and it works perfectly. Everything from the 'Gate matching to the text placement is spot-on. Good work!
