Five people Sam wishes she could have fallen in love with (2/2)shinealightonmeJuly 20 2009, 09:51:41 UTC
4. Rodney McKay
The very thought of being in love with Rodney McKay, when she'd heard about her alternate self's marriage, was disturbing. He was abrasive and arrogant and he'd called her a dumb blonde and - and - he was McKay. She couldn't think of someone she'd be less likely to marry

There are some great insights into Sam here. #1 is great, with Sam acknowledging the person she isn't, and not just the life she doesn't have. And I love #5, with her musings about how life would have been so much easier if she'd fallen for Daniel rather than Jack.

#1 was great, with the stinger at the end. #2 I wouldn't have even thought of, such a great choice! But I think my favourite is #5 - that things would have been easier with Daniel.

Glad you liked them! Especially the second, wasn't sure if that would work for other people ^__^ and #5 would have made her life easier, but the heart wants what the heart wants.

It's hard to imagine Sam trying to fall in love with these people... but of course that wasn't the prompt. The prompt was falling, and that just happens.
Or it doesn't.
But it might have, given more time or less focus on other things. Yeah, Sam's got to wonder how things might have turned out. It's a great list! I'm especially fond of the 'strange' Narim, myself. :-)

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it, though some of the choices were a bit out of left-field. And "strange" Narim, well, he always struck me as a bit weird, in a mostly harmless kind of way.
