Almost Christmas
Tree is decorated and all lit up ( has been for a few weeks now). Presents are all wrapped, but not under the tree yet ( the kids would have them open the minute we were out of the room). Will be putting the presents out tonight after the kids go to sleep so they can open them tomorrow. Jess' family has this thing of opening presents from family on Christmas Eve and getting gifts from Santa Christmas day. After eight years, that stil feels odd to me, but the kids like it, so who am I to complain. Jess got the stockings today, and has a ton of candy to fill them up with. He also got candy canes to hang from one of the trees outside so the kids can pick candy canes from the candy cane tree tomorrow. Turkey is set out to thaw, and will be making pumpkin pie tomorrow.
Wen has been using building blocks to make 'presents' with, and setting them under the tree. She has also been wrapping them up in a towel, and toting them around saying she is Santa. It's very cute.
