So much to say, so little time to write. Some bullets:
I started my job. I like it. It certainly holds my interest. I am not getting a head trip, as the very honest people in my workplace make no pretense of hiding the fact that they know I don't know anything yet. And both because they are right and because they are all very good-natured about it, the process of entering the workplace has been fairly smooth. Now all I need is to train myself to get up at 5:45 each morning.
The jet lag is finally wearing off.
I've been wanting to write about my trip, but time with which to do so has been very limited. In the meantime, I'll tease you with this: While at 明治神宮 with Tim and Mitsu, I looked up, and put to words something that has been frustrating me for some time:
Sfida: "I don't know if it's my contacts or what, but lately, when I look at the clouds, they don't look at all real. They look...almost painted...but really more like, and I know this is a hopelessly nerdy thing to say, that they've been run through a really bad anti-aliasing algorithm."
Tim: "Yeah, I'm gonna go with the last one."
The shop that repaired my car managed to break something. Will explain more after I get them to fix it.
