I went on a date with Dar a little while ago. She recently broke up with a girlfriend, and it is probably too soon for her to date. She is very nice and attractive too, though she’s a bit older than I am. What I like about her is that she seems really clear on what she wants from life and from a relationship. She wants a long-term commitment. She wants to be married. It is kind of nice to meet someone who has that kind of clarity. She’s also a teacher. I like teachers. And she likes to hike. I met her on a hike. But there wasn’t really a spark of any sort. We would probably make good friends, but I’m not sure we are relationship compatible. I thought I'd ask her on a second date because she really is nice and interesting, but I never did. I guess that is an indication of something.
Our date included dinner at my community (not too romantic, yes) and a walk along the Santa Fe River. I'd love to be with someone who wants to walk with me in the evening. Who knows? Maybe I will ask her out again.
