Cards for Soldiers
I want to ask for something for other people. It won't cost anyone much money, just an extra card when you are doing your Christmas cards, and an extra stamp. The Red Cross is collecting cards to distribute to American soldiers. If you happen to have an extra card and stamp, please consider sending a card to a service member - they can use all the support they can get.
All cards must be postmarked by Dec 10th to be distributed in time for Christmas.

Entitle cards with generic terms such as “Dear Service Member, Family or Veteran”
Limit cards to 15 per person or 50 for school class or business group
Bundle groups of cards in single, large envelopes

Send letters, care packages or monetary gifts
Include personal information such as home or email addresses
Use glitter - excessive amounts can aggravate health issues of wounded recipients
Include inserts of any kind as they must be removed in the screening process
