There’s a nine day stretch where Walt doesn’t go into work. He’s got his vacation time lined up and ready to go, but his mother decides to go on a cruise last minute with some of her lady friends so Walt is left with nowhere to go and nothing to do.
So he stays home, kicking back on the couch in his boxers and a wifebeater. He leaves the house twice to get pizza and beer, and it would be Ray-kind-of-gross but Walt can’t go 24 hours without showering while he’s on American soil without feeling gross. Even when he’s slumming it, he adheres to that.
He doesn’t shave though, and at first, Ray doesn’t know how he feels about that. This is Walt, the precious sunshine child and baby-faced Marine. His hair is pale and doesn’t grow in thick, but it still feels weird when Ray feels it prickle under his fingertips.
It changes when they get high on some pills Ray refuses to site the source of and spend the night making out on the couch, though. Ray changes his mind on a lot of things when he’s on one substance or another - but he’s liable to change his mind when he’s hungover or sober or whatthefuckever again, so it’s tough to say how these things are going to work out at all.
Walt’s face though. Ray really likes Walt’s face. He likes his big blue eyes and the slope of his nose, he likes the way Walt’s mouth feels under his and he likes the things Walt can do with his tongue. Ray feels likes his nerve endings are all wide awake, and every drag of Walt’s skin against his own has Ray aching for more.
Especially the week old stubble. Walt looks like a kid who’s trying to grow out his first beard, but the rough scratch of it under Ray’s fingertips has his cock throbbing in his jeans and the gentle touch isn’t enough. Walt is quiet for a moment, but whatever objections he might have fade away. It’s possible he doesn’t remember what he was objecting to in the first place. The important thing is, is that he drags Ray closer to him by his hips and tips his head to the side to give Ray more room to work.
Ray likes this plan a lot, and he knew he kept Walt around for a reason. It might not have been to get high and nuzzle, but fuck, Ray is all for improvising (and more importantly, it’s not like Brad will ever find out and even if he does, fuck him, but Walt is perfect even when he is kind of gross).
