haha-my DC post finally comes up...
So I typed this out a few weeks ago-right when I got back from DC. And it won't post. So now you get part of the story before I rant...
Alright, so I got back a few days ago, but my body is not entirely sure what time zone it's on...nor has it known since I left for the east coast...
I was up till about 11:30/midnight Wednesday night before waking around 4:30 for my 7am flight. That alone is reason to have a messed up internal clock, but I fell asleep on the plane to make matters worse. Or better. Who knows?! After a 3-hour layover in Charlotte (they have rocking chairs for you to sit in!) I made it out to DC, where Maria met me and we took the metro home. I got to stay at the Corso home and we started watching "Down With Love", which was nowhere near as entertaining as the thunder, lightning and torrential downpours going on outside (which twice knocked the dvd player out of whack). And despite a very long day and very little sleep the night before, I couldn't seem to fall asleep...partially because my body thought it wasn't even 10 yet, partially because the thunder was deafeningly loud-no joke! We know it hit a tree and knocked off a limb down the road and are reasonably sure it hit the house at some point, it was so bad.
Friday morning, we wake up, get breakfast, get showered and get packed (well, Maria got packed-I just put everything back in my suitcase) and get going. It was quite the fun trip down and then we finally find the hotel and g

Basically: gorgeous wedding, rain, great friends, lots of pictures, lots of rain, baby Honda gets a salvage title, see Greg, more rain, meet more of Greg's family, still more rain, some flooding, then a sunny day and helping watch two adorable little boys. Oh-and Greg's brother giving us faulty directions to the airport and thus arriving about 25 minutes prior to departure...with a bag I needed to check!! (PS-I did make the flight)
