a good friend, the person who got me this livejournal account actually, passed away recently. I just found this out and i kind of can't believe it. His name was Zach Recht. He was a writer, I didn't even know but he had published two books. Sci-fi apocalyptic novels. I've got to read them. We hadn't talked in a couple of years, but it's still so hard to believe. I don't know how he died, his obituary doesn't offer much in that sense.
RECHT, Zachary Allan, 26, died on Dec. 10, 2009, at his home.
He was born on Feb. 4, 1983, to Keith A. and Mary Recht of Bunker Hill, W.Va.

Zach attended Inwood Primary School and Bunker Hill Elementary. He was a graduate of the Powhatan School in Boyce, Va. He also attended Handley High School of Winchester, Va. Colleges attended were West Virginia University and Northern Community College. He was a unique self educated historian.
Zachary was employed in 2007 as a staff writer at The Journal Newspaper. This year he was an invited guest author to the "Horror Realm" convention in Pittsburgh, Pa., where his fans were able to meet and greet him, as well as listen to readings from his books. He has also participated in the "Poetry and Prose" Writer's Day here in Berkeley County.
He completed boot camp in the U.S. Army at Fort Jackson, SC, where he graduated as 1st Squad Leader and won the Sharpshooter competition.

His sparkling wit and intelligence will surely be missed by his family, friends, and by all of his fans.
I feel so sad & sick, we didn't know each other for very long but we definitely had a connection. I'll miss him, he had so much to offer the world and we'll never get to see it.
