Transit of Venus

Little man and I set up a rifle scope projector that worked well for viewing the sun. We saw Venus on the edge, then.....que the clouds! I had to go help run the homeschool meeting, but his dad texted me they got a good gander later! Great memories for everyone. TJ was so excited to share some science with his dad.

Quick planetary movement review. I'm sure his dad can expand WAY better than me, but at least he got a feel.for what we were lookjng at, why it was significant, and where we were in relation to it all.
We also made a pin hole projector out of supplies on hand. His dad saved the day by showing up with more duxt tape and helping assemble the pieces. No word yet on how well it did, but TJ spent all of dinner adding duct tape to seal light leaks just like he watched his daddy do. He totally took ownership in our project and his learning. So even if the view wasn't NASA quality, the bonding part was out of this world.

Side note, while TJ and I were working we started up the CD player. Ironically Kirk Franklin 's Revolution was in que.

"They shall hunger no more, neither shall they thirst...
For God will wipe away EVERY tear from their eye.."

Get ready...for a revolution
