Well, it's a week after my 23rd birthday and I never did update with my yearly birthday blog about how much I've grown over the year. Instead of talking about that I'm going to talk about how much I am soooooooo happy that this is the last year I will be an undergrad! That's right, I am a semester and a half away from graduating and a little under a year away from having my own classroom. Getting to teach in the fourth grade and kindergarten at my field rotation sites, has been a blast and I can't wait to be teaching five days a week next semester.
I would love to work at the school I'm currently placed at...the people are great, the kids are sweet, and I agree with the philosophy of the school and district. I spend three days a week there and, as a friend recently mentioned, would spend seven days a week there if I could!
Methods classes are going well as well, but I am much happier when I am actually in the classroom. Those kids put a smile on my face the second they walk in the door...even when they have off days and test my patience. ;-P I do greatly miss the fourth grade, but kinder has it's perks as well and is a good learning experience for me.
The countdown begins today...I graduate May 10th, so I have about 6 months and 9 days...EEEK! It's sooo close yet soooo far!
