Afterlife
I grew up Catholic, grew up in the ritual and rites of the church. And then I discovered science and went through this whole rebellious "there is no God there is only science" stage.
And now ... despite, or perhaps because of, all the things I've seen through the Gate, yeah, I believe that when I die, I'll ... go ... someplace else. Maybe not the traditional heaven or hell, but ... someplace. Maybe, I'll ascend, if I'm the right kind of person, tho that's not really dying. Maybe I'll go to someplace like the Jaffa's Kheb, not so much a utopia as a safe haven.
I've seen too much not to believe in something.
