Click to viewI was very, very impressed with this movie. Having been based on a novel, you can sense that there are often themes introduced throughout the film perhaps too generalized to make sense in the context of 2 and 1/2 hours, but somehow, even after rather absurd elements that should often warrant a call for explanation are put into play, the movie runs along smoothly, confident in those choices. Yes, there were some parts that came heavy handed, but so much of the work in the film was done so precisely right that it was easy to forgive the myopic view of the writer.
