Funny that I was just apologizing to y'all for being so focused on a certain TV show to the exclusion of all others subjects, and a week later, I've actually got a post revolving around something completely different! I don't know how many hip-hop fans we have around here, but this latest post is an all-Drake edition for Round 9 of inspired20in20. The theme is

I don't know. It just looks too busy and messy, but I had to keep trying to hide the flaws I saw and also make it look painted until it got outta hand. Again, it's wonderful to hear that someone else can appreciate the work that went into it even if I don't personally like the result. Thanks for the reassurance, Sheeka! (You have no idea how hilarious I found it that I threw so much purple and pink at a damn hip-hop star!)
OMG. I am floored by your response to #4 cuz it seemed it might be too boring or something. You're honestly quite a source of comfort when it comes to the icons that I seem to be skeptical about! I'm honored to now be part of your inspirations folder, BTW!
Blending will probably never come easy for me, but it helps to try it out sometime and see what happens. I'm rather proud of the overall looks of #10-11 and the fact that they look so different even if they're the same blend.
You have trouble with lighting, too? It's fun to use colored textures to light stuff, but it certainly isn't easy most of the time! If we both just keep working away on our lighting skills, I'm sure we'll both excel at that soon enough! :)

Lol, you're welcome! I enjoy giving feedback. I only got back into icon making around December after stopping for, like, four years o giving feedback helps me break down the technical aspects of an icon and find what I like so I can try and apply those same techniques to my own stuff.
It's crazy how people's opinions differ and I've had feedback from people saying they like icons I wasn't particularly proud of as well so *shrugs* one man's rubbish and all of that!

Exactly! That's why I always post my alts/variations. Just cuz I'm not crazy about them doesn't mean others can't appreciate or use them! :)
