Atfer last Friday's foray into the wonderful world of multi-fandom madness, it's back to our regularly scheduled program! My apologies to anyone who doesn't care about Leverage, but it's really all I can work with right now. I'm sure I'll get back to making celeb icons soon enough, but for the time being, I'm going where my muse takes me. For Round 17 at 20inspirations, the theme was "Down the Rabbit Hole," and basically, the point was to get all crazy ass with textures and composition and coloring. It seemed like the most obvious thing in the world for me to be attracted to that theme, but I went in with a hazy idea of what I wanted to achieve and fell rather short of the imagined mark. I can happily say though that I had a fantastic time making this stuff based on just the word prompts provided, and creating 100x100 boxes of acid trippy goodness is about as much fun as a maker can have! For my personal challenge, I aimed to include Kanye West song titles or lyrics in at least 7 of my icons. I've been listening to Yeezy's My Dark Twisted Fantasy repeatedly for weeks now, and his dark yet playful verses seemed like a perfect fit for this round, so I decided it would be worthwhile to work him into the icons somehow. (FYI, the last four pieces in this post are quote icons that I made for a leverageland team challenge, not Kanye lyrics. Can you imagine him saying "I loooove meth" though? That would be RIDIC!)

Now it's dedication time, and this batch goes out to two of my fave people to squee over icons and Leverage with, monstersinyou and mancalahour! Fridde and Nik, you've both provided me with brilliant encouragement and valuable feedback throughout the past year, and it's been an honor and a pleasure to watch both of you evolve and grow as makers, too. I love and appreciate all the discussions and laughs we've shared together, ladies, and I look forward to plenty more of both in the future! <3

I'm grateful for any feedback or constructive criticism that anyone cares to offer, so please don't hesitate to share your thoughts on anything you see here. It's perfectly fine to admit that you don't like an icon and to make suggestions about ways I can improve! :)
