There were no real prizes anyway, so giving in to it is just being stupid.

Anyway, not even demons are that cruel.

They aren't, I know it! Sure you all make lots of big claims, but... but deep down inside you're not that different. There are still things you don't do just for no reason, there are still standards you guys stick to. And... and pointless murder for the sake of it isn't one of those things. You might beat up the new kid, or randomly attack people, or even steal lunch money but I know this last event isn't the sort of thing even demons would subscribe to.

And like I said there was nothing real to gain anyway.
