Positive update!

So, I feel I should update... now that I have a few minutes.

A quick note about the last update:  I've asked a few more people, a few people who have spent more time with me in person, (I live with them half the week) and I just need to say that I adore Chan dearly with all my heart.  Her and I had a bit of an issue a couple weeks ago, but I absolutely respect her for telling me and for sorting it out with me in a mature face to face manner!
I was talking to her about the questions of my personality I guess, which had arisen in my previous posts and she said that much of it she hadn't seen and convinced me that potential was in fact a very high compliment indeed.  She eased my perfectionist streak that things like 'trivial emotional outbursts' were normal, and part of being human, and not so much a 'character flaw.'

I also on my way back from the island, stopped by another friends house to see if he needed anything since I hadn't been able to reach him in a few days and he's doing great and I'm glad I stopped in unannounced, to be perfectly honest, because I got some more food *laughs*  Some amazing dish that I'm going to have to ask him to show me how to make, or something, and even better was I got to meet another friend of his and hear all about her career path and she has got an amazing life!  I'm glad I got to meet her, and I really do hope that I get to see her again!

I've been talking more too with the one who I first had asked the question of, and more and more I'm starting to see him as human, which I think is good... I think it'll help us be better friends overall.  I feel like perhaps it was my childhood 'overinflated' perception that had fucked things up.

I also had an AMAZING week!  A truly truly AMAZING week!  *laughs*  Sunday I headed over to the island, still stinging from the whole 'vindictive and mean' and whatnot bullshit, I was reassured by my beloved landlady on the island that I was not those things as she had seen, and then I was BUSY all week working on my presentation for Wednesday, my essay which was due Wednesday, and my midterm which was also on Wednesday.

My presentation, was awesome.  I went overtime, and that's pretty impressive given that it was a 40 min presentation!!!  LOL  I used a video titled "The Business of Being Born" and cut a few clips out of that, and I -highly- recommend this video to ANYBODY who is pregnant, or thinking about becoming pregnant, or even anybody who might want kids in their future "at some point maybe."  -- It is eye opening, and it gave me a WHOLE new perspective on my Medical history and Women's history courses that I have taken.

My essay I think I did really well on, my midterm was a bit sketchy I suppose, but that's because a lot of my readings took a backseat to my projects and essays.

Anyways... I've got an amazing dish of tuna pasta out in the kitchen to eat for dinner, I've already polished off one bowl and so I'm going to go for another :)

Love T
