part one:
so i had a great weekend camping up at clear lake, doing that whole relaxing, burning in the sun, camp fires and shenanigans, the whole nine yards i tell ye! where to start?
ok so the ride down there was hilarious. mainly because there was this song on the radio by kate perry, "i kissed a girl and i liked it". here are some of the lyrics: "i kissed a girl and i liked it, the taste of her cherry chapstick, i kissed a girl and i liked it, i hope my boyfriend dont mind it". it may be one of the funniest and most offensive songs on the radio right now, (offensive to actual bi-sexuals and lesbians that is) for how cheap it makes experimentation and alternative lifestyles.
anyways, so we all had that the chorus from that song stuck in our heads the entire weekend. perfect. our campsite was actually really great, it was secluded, surrounded by bush and tree's and we had a tent for up to six people and there were three of us inside, so we had lots of room for our bags and a little extra room to break out into the occasional night terrors we are all prone too since 'nam.
the first day we were at the town wosagyming, (pronounced whas-a-gimm-in), it was a ghost town. there was hardly anyone on the streets, our campground was vacant nearly all over, and when we went to pick firewood up at 6ish it was like walking into a derelict mining town.... with slightly more colour and touristy shops around. we went back to the campsite started a fire, ate some hot-diggity-dogs, and then sarah proceeded to do shots while i gave her some of my magic brownie and then consumed the rest. we headed into the town around 10:45 to go to "the beach club" which has kareoke and my friend sheldon who works up at riding mountain is a clear lake kid and knows the "underground" dwellings of clear lake. so after about half an hour of walking through the town and then finding the club we went inside to a nice little dive full of friendly people and foozball! after watching sarah and neil for awhile, sheldon and his crew finally showed up and sarah proceeded to drink more, as did i, (how could i refuse a free round of jagg?)! after about 45 minutes of sifting through the kareoke book, and sheldon perpetually harassing me to go up and sing (keep in mind no one had begun to kareoke yet and there was a room full of 20 people i had never seen), i finally caved on the condition sheldon do a duet of pshcokiller by the talking heads with me.
first however, he took me to the back of the nightclub outside, and into a little shed where they had a "zero gravity" devide which pretty much gives you pure THC steam. the brownies had just started kicking in which are intense by themselves, and then i used the zero grav device, and the rest of the night was one of the funniest memories ive ever had. me and sheldon did a kick ass job of psychokiller, and i was soo into it i was dancing and going into full showmanship mode, while sheldon beside me could barely stand he was so out of it! then after a few songs by other good chaps and the dive's owner, sarah and i went up to do "i believe in a thing called luv" by the darkness, which was hilarious in its own till a random dude came up near the beginning and started doing it with us. me and him both tried to make out voices super high pitched, and it was the raddest of the rad.
the walk back tot he campground felt sort of like a dream now that i think about it, but i was very hyper and apperantly "obnoxious" in neils words but they were troopers since they had to share a tent with me, so good on you guys!
anyways, ill update about the rest of the weekend later!
