oh my freakin god.
I have a blocked duct. It keeps getting better, the worse. then repeat. I was called in an antibiotic yesterday. Today, I had the worst day of my life. Seriously. I was in THE WORST PAIN I have EVER been in. Giving birth (Medicated Birth, obviously) was seriously better than the pain I was in today.
I pumped for OVER an hour and got less than an ounce out. I went 40 minutes without even covering the bottom of the bottle with milk. I sucked it up and turned the pump on full speed. I managed to get an ounce out. That helped SO much.
I am still in pain, but at least I'm not bawling my eyes out like I was earlier.
My doctor suggested I go to the ER. He thinks I may have an abscess. If it gets unbearably worse again tomorrow, I will go. But, I think I just really needed to get some milk out. I had been pumping all day with no success. So, hopefully now it will start to get a little better.
Christian better graduate at the top of his class with all the pain I have been through with breastfeeding/pumping.
I was at my mom's most of the day so she could help me, and she came over this evening. I wasn't really able to take care of the baby. I was in THAT much pain.
Ha. and my mom was holding Christian & I was crying my eyes out because I thought I wanted to just cut my breast off and get it over with.. and what does Christian do? Oh, he gets one of those shit-eating grins on his face and smiles a big toothless smile at me. <3
