untitled poem (based on a dream)

Aug 17, 2006 12:18

Glitter in my brain, glitter in my blood,
my sinews and synapses are all off kilter.
I lost my mind to a flicker of pearly white,
you lost yours to the red stain on the floor.

Shivers up my spine and hate in my heart;
the road is so dark and you long for a spark.
Emotions are on the path of desctruction and
you're on the fast track to crazy.

She knows who you are and sees where you go,
you and I both know that she can't dance alone.
It's almost January when it's only June.

You walked all over me and now I'm stuck to the bottom of your shoes.
They're having sex with the lights on, but we're kissing in the dark,
if it feels perverted then you know that the fun is about to start.

This is like a fever that you can't sweat out.
It's greener than clover and whiter than snow,
hand out all these little judgements on a life you will never know.

The calendar flips by and my hair goes back to brown.
