The more I come to read, the more I come to see, and the more that I come to understand the nature of human beings, -the more I become appalled by their behaviour, -and, I include myself in this ranting.
Staying true as a self-proclaimed perfectionist, everday I become more and more disgusted with our race. I believe reading "The Mysterious Stranger" triggered the thought and reading Live Journals cemented the belief into my mind.
Everyone is selfish, egocentric, in-for-themselves, and not "genuinely" good-hearted; such a thing doesn't exist. Everyone has good as they have the inevitable BAD in them.
For a period in my life, I had the naive belief that there had to be someone out there that didn't possess these attributions, -that they were better than these things which all lead to the eventual down-fall of societies and great nations, but I was wrong. This story put my beliefs into words I could never find to express before, or rather -words I didn't have the Heart to find... and perhaps it's because I look at things from the perspective of what I believe the idealistic person should be that I come to this conclusion.
I've just become disappointed at how miniscule things have escalated into rampages, personal attacks, - plain UNNECESSARY drama. Maybe it's because I've stopped caring about everything that has me in this distaste. I've let go of so many things and don't condone those who have yet to, but Jesus! There's more to life than what highschool has to offer -it's social cliques, intentional hypocrisy, and child-like antics; I'm Over It!
What merit? What satisfaction? What is gained from from pointing fingers and calling out names? Might as well just burn them at the stake for witchcraft! Let assumptions be made, -they'll be made either way, just as there will be those that talk either way despite what good-a-person you've been your entire life.
It's all relative. Truth. Opinion. It's all Bull Shit, and it varies from person to person. No one deals with an issue the same, thinks of an issue the same, or believes in the same, -and it's our inability as a people to both comprehend and accept this matter of diversity that leads to malicious intent and what's wrong with the world...
Just remember: "No one's ever read the same book."
