An Update
Just wanted to check in and say hi!
Life has been very busy, mostly with work. It has put a big damper on sewing and being creative at home. I am tired a lot and only get a couple hours in the evenings with Melissa. But I have been feeling the need to dig into things again. I've been at Deloitte for about 8 months now and have the lay of the land. Im very comfortable there and our FY10 employee review are coming up next month.
I need to make time to get in shape and workout. I figure the bulk of my exhaustion has to do with my lack of exercise and gaining weight. It's starting to weigh on me mentally as well >__< not good!
I also need to finish moving the sewing room down to the den and furnishing it properly. It's been at a standstill for some time now. Creativity needs to come back to my house~!

Melissa's family has been going through some awful turmoil the last week.
Her 89 yo grandmother and aunt & uncle were flooded out in Nashville's floods last weekend. They live in the same townhouse community, 6 houses apart. Both homes destroyed and barely anything salvageable. They have been quoted $100,000 to rebuild everything. I have tons of posts on my Facebook with pics and pics and videos from her cousins, who have been working their tails off to get the ruined materials out of the two houses. Everything is gutted now, down to the studs.
We have been trying to raise money, since there was no flood insurance and they were not in the flood plain. If you can spare anything, no matter how small, it would be greatly appreciated.

And the nutty-ass puppy girl = ABBY! WOO! She huge now! 7-1/2 months, easily 65lbs and skinny as a rail while eating 4 cups of food a day. She's very tall, about 4 inches taller than her sister, Emma.
She was driving us batty with her insane energy, so we took the plunge and enrolled her at a doggie daycare called FunnyBones. It has been the best thing we ever did for one of our dogs. She plays all day and gets her energy out and we get to sleep at night. She is a normal dog now! WOOHOO!
She even made us a Mother's Day card at daycare. I feel like I have a real preschooler, hehe
