Ok, so husky band is starting.
I'm a section leader, meaning I have all kinds of responsibilities, and I'm in a good position to step up as a leader, *not* a dictator, of my section this year.
That's exciting, but I'm a little nervous too.
We've started playing and rehearsing for the game on the 10th, and our show is based on the Drumline show from the movie, starting with In the Stone.
I'm so happy to get back into band mood. I'm eager to talk to people and meet them, which I've always been hesitant to do because I don't feel like I can do it unless I'm with equals or if I'm older/superior in some way.
Now, I'm finally kind of faced with that opportunity to welcome everyone possible to husky band.. and I hope I really do it. yay!
Oh and I play so much better and feel so much more confident thanks to drum corps. Even if that's all I got out of it it'd be worth it. But that's not all :).
But I sure did miss Stef while I was out there.
