Last night I did laundry & some sewing - yayy for getting back into it.  Though it's a tad demoralising that the first thing I sew has been ballsed up enough that I may not like it once it's done.  Here's my fix on the bodice ... you may or may not think it's hideous, but I do :(

I nixed pinning in the sleeves at lunchtime, cos I'm going to have to do the side seam thingy, so instead I got almost a quarter of the hem whip stitched in place.  It'll be ok to do later tonight, though I must keep enough time, early enough to make a couple of chicken or pork and veg pasties for my lunch tomorrow. And get apples for my snacks.

I cut this shirt out last year ... or at least most of it  it turns out that I hadn't cut the back nor the front facing.  Thinking back I lost the back pattern piece for about 4 months.  I had to re-draft the front facing.

From mid-afternoon I was able to assemble the body - leaving the side seams open until after the collar is in.
