this month's book: The Cut of Women's Clothes 1600-1930

My book wishlist doesn't seem to be getting any shorter, because I keep finding more to add to it. Or in today's case a book I didn't think that I'd find in my price range, plus it's domestic post so it shouldn't take a couple of weeks to arrive.    I'll admit it was at the upper end of the range I'm prepared to pay for my monthly treat, but huzzah I snaffled it while I could for well under $100.

I only wish my local libraries still had the older costume books, as they're not getting many of the new ones.  I've always been interested in costume, so I spent hours/days poring over the older books in the library when I was a child.

My current wishlisty books are:
~ Nancy Bradfield's Costume in Detail
~ Fashioning-Fashion European Dress in Detail, 1700 - 1915
~ Seventeenth-Century Women's Dress Patterns: book 1  (167 days til publishing date)  which I'm going to pre-order this year
~ Linda Baumgarten's Costume Closeup (while the reprint is available)
~ Janet Arnold's Patterns of Fashion 4
~ Janet Arnold's Patterns of Fashion 3
~ 18th Century Costumes in the National Museums and Galleries of Merseyside
~ High Style: Masterworks from the Brooklyn Museum Costume Collection
