It's been more than 2 weeks and I still haven't stumbled across the remote control, which'll turn up somewhere more obscure than my freezer or laundry basket. But only after it's been replaced of course.

I found out that the replacement is still available at @ AU$74, which is in the ballpark I was expecting.  The DVD player itself has recently ( Read more... )

Pretty much.

Speaking of eBay fabric, I got some amazingly soft silk for cheap last week. It's completely sheer though, so I have no idea what I'm going to use it for. I knew it was lightweight but I couldn't pass up 5 yards for $20 including postage... maybe some new period veils, but that still leaves 3m to use *ponders*

Hmm, I like it. I was going to use cotton voile, but since I have this already... and silk's a great insulator so it'll keep me warm when I don't have my robe on.

I don't know about caps, it's got a very soft drape and is quite see-through. I haven't researched headwear much though so maybe it is appropriate.

very true that it'd depend on the era for caps. a late georgian, token gesture of at a cap under a wide brim hat.

detachable sheer long undersleeves for a regency dress to transform into a morning dress?
