Wow, it's looking good already! I can't wait to see how it turns out in the end. The Edwardian era would look really nice in Lolita, and is currently one of my inspirations!
By the way, I've started following your blog on Blogspot. There are some really nice things there. Are you going to update sometime or is it a finished blog? :)

Awww, that's so sweet of you! Yes, I'm going to update soon, hopefully this week - I had a period of health troubles, hence the hiatus, but I definitely do not plan on abandoning the blog:-)
And thanks for your sweet comment, yes Edwardian era is wonderful for Lolita - I wonder what are you planning to create based on it? Will you show it here?

I'm glad you're going to update soon, it was a really nice handmade Lolita blog, which I haven't seen much of recently. Hopefully you're feeling better now, or at least on the road to recovery. :)

I really like the "walking dresses" in Edwardian fashions, especially as the era heads towards the 1920s. I haven't any ideas yet for the Lolita side of things, but after I've made my first Georgian outfit, I think I'll try my hand at an Edwardian corset; Usually I start with the undergarments first, to get the right silhouette. I don't think I'll show my period costumes here, being a Lolita site, but I'll definitely post to my blog. :)

Georgian! Lovely. I'm very much looking forward to it. Thanks for your tip how to add your blog, it worked, yay - so I will be watching out for that project. Edwardian walking dresses were certainly lovely! I love this era's opulence. Fingers crossed for the corset, that's a pretty tricky thing! I agree with you this is the best way to start, from the undergarments, though I confess I usually don't have the patience - so I admire you:-)

Yes, I'm better now (knock on wood), thank you! *hugs* And thanks a lot for your feedback about my blog, it's actually really nice to know what is it that people like seeing there - given the usual comparative lack of comments I'm often not at all sure:-)))

It may take a while to finish it, but I'm looking forward to seeing the outcome too. The corset IS very tricky so far, but I'm still waiting for the boning to arrive and battling on!
Usually I don't have patience either, but seeing as I want to be a costume designer for theater someday, I'm trying to get things right and practice early on, so I can learn some skills and build up a bit of a portfolio. It will probably be years before I reach a professional stage, but I'm still learning to sew, so it's fine. :) Thanks!

Glad you're feeling better! I saw that post on your blog about being a bed-ridden or ill Lolita, and I was wondering if you were okay. (good advise by the way, I could have done with that a few years back when I was ill and feeling un-glamorous)!
You're welcome! I don't get many comments or followers either (you're my second follower - yay!), so I'm glad I could help.

Wow, that's a lovely goal! I adore it. Fingers crossed that it works out - and I believe it will, given the work of yours I've seen so far. What fabric are you going to use for the corset? Are you gonna use any pretty trimmings? Embroidery?

I'm glad you like that guide, but I'm sorry that you have been ill:-( Was it bad?
Well, you see I was very seriously ill for couple of years and it kind of destroyed my immunity, so whenever I get a silly cold it takes me ages to get over it and get some strength back, plus it probably triggered Neurocardiogenic Syncope in me - so I get ill and bed-ridden quite often, and then go MIA when it comes to internet, because it tires me out. So if I don't post anything for a long moment, I'm most probably sick, haha:-)

Aw, that's really sweet of you to say - thank you!
I'm just using whatever fabric I found at the time, as it's mainly a practice to see how far I can get with it - so some light grey suede (I think that's what it is?) and another, lighter grey fabric, and I really don't know what that one is. For this one, I think I'll keep it simple, with no embellishments. Some lace would be nice, but I think I'll just be glad to get the main thing done.

I'll PM you about the rest of the conversation about illness, as I don't feel comfortable talking about it on a public forum that everyone can see (though I trust talking to you through what conversations we've had).
