Project Title : Autumn Roses Bustle Jacket
Short Project Description: I was gifted with a massive amount of vintage black velveteen that's printed with orange/rust roses, so I'm making a luxe frilly jacket out of it!
Projected Deadline: Sometime, eventually. Hopefully before it starts getting cold again.
Pattern(s) Used: I'll be modifying Simplicity 2344.
Materials needed: I think I have everything already. I MAY get a walking foot for this though, if I can work it into the budget.
Challenges or obstacles : Sewing velvet is kind of a pain in the butt. I'm planning on doing bound seams so it doesn't fray, and my bias tape application skills are a bit on the not-so-good side.
Behold, seven yards of fabric that was bought in 1980. Seriously, it still had the cutting slip pinned to it when I got it.
