Because registering them means I'll actually do them(?)
Project Title : Convertible Skirt/Shorts Salopette
Short Project Description: Based on the Putumayo dress/skirt/pants:
Except I don't like the JSK design or full shirring around the waist so I'm making it a salopette like I made for my F/W 2011 fashion line (Ribbon and Lace Wonderland)
Projected Deadline: Dec. 18! I want to wear it to the meetup!
Pattern(s) Used: Self-drafted
Materials needed: Separating Zipper
Challenges or obstacles : I actually already started this and the zip length and strap lengths require much seam-ripping ;_;
Project Title : Lolita Underbust Corset
Short Project Description: A simple underbust corset made from some leftover fabric from Ribbon and Lace Wonderland (white X pink) with spring steel bones and center front busk opening. My current corset from Scoundrelle's Keep is a lace-up front and it takes forever to get on and off!
Projected Deadline: End of 2011
Pattern(s) Used: Self-drafted
Materials needed: Steel bones, ribbon, grommets, busk, awl
Challenges or obstacles : I have never made a corset at all! And the bones here only come in 1/4" thickness and all one length so I have to cut my own :( Also I wanted 1/2" bones at the back because that is where a lot of pressure will be coming from. Would making 2 channels and putting 1/4" bones in each work? Or would the fact it is two channels make it ineffective? I made a mock-up to test the pattern shape already and I think it will be ok... But the materials were all quite expensive so I hope it turns out!!
