Fandomy Stuff Plus KITTENS
Late to the party as always, but I took Nic to see Inception last week while we were in Santa Cruz. Seriously, this movie rules like I just don't even.
There were a few scenes that had Nic fist-clenching and silently mouthing "YESSS" and generally jumping around in fanboyish joy. And I was right there next to him being JUST AS BAD. ♥
Who else is excited for Avatar: The Legend of Korra?
Ordinarily I'd be skeptical about a spin-off, but from these guys, in this universe? SIGN ME UP.
DiMartino and Konietzko know what they are doing, and I agree - a new series with new characters but the same rich, detailed universe is the way to go this time. :D
Also, the complete dodge-the-question answers to the movie adaptation of Last Airbender in that article cracked me up.
While in Santa Cruz, as well as seeing Inception and going to the beach and a number of other things, Nic and I crashed with the Belmont household, who are currently fostering four-week-old kittens. ♥

Sleeping boyfriend topped with sleeping kittens = OMG CUTENESS OVERLOAD.
The theme (if you hadn't caught it) is that they are named after the X-Men. We wanted Scott and Logan so hard.
One day, when we have our own place, we are totally adopting kittens fostered by this house.
Oooh. I just finished watching Dexter season one yesterday. (Only took me, what, two years?) I kept having to stop early on because the show would give me nightmares. Even in the beginning, I would enjoy the episodes while watching them, but then I'd try to go to sleep and either couldn't or would wind up dreaming about serial killers. :/
FYI, Dexter himself doesn't scare me. I love him to pieces (hur hur). But I am such a pussy when it comes to faceless, unknown killers who act without reason. It's all about the portrayal.
Anyways. The finale? SO GOOD. I need to watch more, and soon. <333
