Apologies for gamer-babbling spam.
The following article is pretty damn informative re: the differences between the PS2 and Wii versions of Okami:
http://www.destructoid.com/destructoid-review-okami-wii--82445.phtml Compared to the original PS2 version, the Wii version of Okami is incredibly, often frustratingly difficult. Button mashing? Not allowed. And controlling the Celestial Brush feels, for lack of a better description, like drawing on a whiteboard with a sharpie attached to the end of a giant stick.
I definitely don't agree with the reviewer's opinion of "it's supposed to be this hard", for the reason that the Wiimote is not a paintbrush. Nor is it a laser pointer. It's a goddamn infra-red remote.
Being a born-and-bred PlayStation gal, the impatient kid in me is itching to just make up some excuse to return this version of Okami and buy the PS2 version online. On the other hand, I do relish the opportunity to develop my hand-eye coordination skills, and hell knows I need some more variety in my gameplay. So I guess I'll be hanging onto it for now.
