I've lost ten pounds since joining Plrrrrrrrnet Frrrrrrrrrrtness. Here's what I've been doing:
20-40 minutes of cardio every day
A different resistance circuit every day: legs, arms, chest and back
Some light weight training 2-3 times a week, mostly chest and biceps.
In the last month, I recall eating fast food twice: both times Wendy's and no fries or sour cream and chive potatoes. This is as opposed to the 5 trips a week minimum to BK, McD's and Wendy's combined I was making previously (that's not even counting the occasional cheesesteak from D'Angelo's and spaghetti and meatballs with slice on the side from Papa Gino's... dear GOD, make it stop!). So not only am I feeling better but not stopping at the Drive-Thrus of the world is paying for my gym membership about three times over. The number of fast food stops does jump to four if you count Subway but I've been sticking with their low-fat sandwiches, no mayo or cheese so I don't lump them in with 50+ fat gram Big Macs..I do the meal deals to get the drink but I bring home the chips for Liam (he loves Lay's potato chips and can afford to indulge a little). He never eats that stuff to excess. I don't know where he learned moderation with junk food but I ASSURE you it wasn't from me.
I have had NO sugary soda, not even my beloved Mountain Dew since joining the gym. I've had ONE light beer and one cup of hot cocoa. In short, I'm not drinking my calories or carbs and between that and not having BK rodeo burgers as between-meal snacks I'm really feeling better. Not so much jiggling around on the ol' treadmill.
So it's 10 down, 105 to go. Next hurdle: get the weight loss goal into double digits. Stay tuned....
