Let's Get Healthy Check-In -- Week 13

Apr 29, 2022 12:34

Holy smokes, Week 13 already!

Well, I am super proud of myself this week. I watched what I ate, even when I was at my sister's, and I went on three walks and did my stationary bike, and I not only lost what I had gained last week but I lost more as well, for a total of 5 pounds lost! Woot Woot! I'm actually a little bit glad that gain happened, ( Read more... )

lets get healthy: check in, lets get healthy: food

WOOHOO! I knew you'd bounce back. Nice work. :)

EW. I don't like regular bologna so pass on the veggie stuff. LOL But I'm happy you like it.

Thanks!

I haven't eaten bologna for years because it contains pork, so it's so great to be able to have that taste again. :)

Ah, gotcha. I never liked it even as a kid so that never occurred to me. Yay for being able to have things you like!

OMG that is amazing!!! Good for you!! You are so nailing this "for life" thing! See you can enjoy food but still lose.

I am down only a .8 but that's ok. That puts me at -25 total and I am happy with that. I have only one more pound to cross from obese to overweight and I can't wait. haha

ETA: Oh I love bologna but haven't eaten it in years! I will have to look that up!

That's a pound in my book and that's fantastic! Slow and steady is the smart way to go, and so close to meeting your first sub-goal! Amazing!!

Bologna is soooo high in calories, and I don't eat it anyway anymore because I don't eat pork. So finding the yummy veggie option is so cool!

Thanks so much!! I kinda blew it a wee bit this weekend because we were out of town yesterday but I got right back on it today. Slow and steady is definitely how I want to take it. I am thrilled that I am actually losing.

I have to find some of that pronto! Hopefully it's lower in salt than the real stuff!

Onward!!

You are doing fantastically! great stuff! And that's great you found a yummy alternative to something you no longer eat but remember fondly.

I am not doing so well, as I'm up half a kilo since last week (mainly due to not watching some of the healthy food intake properly!), which is also 1.1kg above the lowest weight I've managed so far. The better news is that I have mostly been keeping up the exercise thanks to going into the office a couple of days a week since April started - my hubby and I have been catching the bus or train and that entails a walk in the morning (about 0.6km to the bus and 1.25km to the train, plus a couple minutes walk at the other end too), so that's been helping, plus we're also trying to walk a few kilometres each weekend. We didn't actually this weekend, because we went to the movies and then my hubby didn't feel well so we headed home, but it's the first weekend in a few where we haven't got any walking in.

this week will be better though! I feel it in my bones! And you inspire me to do better too.

Thanks so much. Now I'm stoked to try the other veggie deli "meats".

I'm sorry you're not doing well. I hope you're feeling is right about the upcoming week! You know what you've got to do, it's just whether you are motivated to do it. Sometimes it's just not the right time and that's okay. You can always start again!

Thanks - I like your idea of starting again. I am still a good 3kgs less than I was at the start of the year, so it still feels like a win, but I would like to take off and keep off at least another 7kg by the end of this year. I won't berate myself if I don't manage it, because I'll keep trying and will hopefully head in the right direction! Keeping up the exercise, no matter how small it may feel, is a huge thing on its own, so I will feel good even if that's all I manage!

Absolutely right about the exercise for sure! Every little bit helps, and the more you consistently do it the easier it will get as well. You can totally do this!
