I usually wait until the end of November, but I couldn't resist any longer. Today I put up my tree! Also, earlier haldoor and I were chatting about ornaments, so I took a photo of the three old ornaments I have that just have sentimental value. YAY CHRISTMAS!!

Love that you got into the holiday spirit early this year! Your tree looks great!

I hope to have my tree up by next weekend. The weather's been so gloomy that I could use some extra cheer. Christmas lights always give me a little boost. :D

Oh! I love your mom's ornaments! And what a cute lil popecleaner pup. I love the fun ornaments you've been collecting too! The tree looks lovely! You're making me want to get my displays up early too, but I think I'll do it the first weekend in Dec - not so long now anyway!

Aww, thanks. We thought those stars were so pretty. I probably shouldn't mentioned that they used to be bright colours. All the metallic shine has long worn off. LOL

Your tree looks great!

My mom has this cardinal in a nest that she's had all my life and she was only ever the one to put it on the tree, too. Me? I have this little shrinky-dink type thing that I made in kindergarten that's a circle with a red bell hand drawn in the center with my name and the year - 1978. My brat child won't let it go on the tree though because it doesn't match. HAHAHA.

I can totally picture that cardinal in a nest ornament that you are talking about. I think my aunt had it. And can I say how much I love that you still have your kindergarten ornament! I think you need to sneak it somewhere onto the tree. The kids will never know. :D

I'm sure it was probably a popular thing years ago! Thanks - mom saved it all those years and gave it to me when I moved out. I really should!

Your tree looks lovely. I have some decorations for mine that my granddad bought when I was maybe 3 or 4. It's nice to put some old handed down ones in amongst the new.

I put my tree up early last year. I might do it again this year.
