Holy smokes, my apartment is a mess.

But first, Fandom Snowflake Challenge Day 6: Rec at least 3 fanworks you thought you wouldn't like (because they weren't your fandom or they pushed against your boundaries or you thought you just wouldn't be interested) and that you ended up loving.

I tried to come up with three, I really did, but I generally don't tend to CLICK on things if they're not my fandom/they will push my boundaries. One of the few times I can remember doing so and then LOVING the fic I found is with ladybugkay's Bruce/Dick Batman fanfic. In retrospect, this isn't all that strange. I mean, (thinking of Live Free or Die Hard) I don't tend to think of John McClane and Matt Farrell in the "omg John is so much older" kind of way, except in how that may/will impact their relationship when I'm writing fic (or chatting or doing meta.) What I mean is, I've never thought of age disparity in a 'kink' or 'thing I LIKE' kind of way (and in fact, daddykink makes me barf, kthanx.) But huh, maybe it IS. Because lemme tell you, I don't know a THING about DC comics or Silver-Whatever or Nightwing or even the new Batman films with Bale... but I loooove some good Bruce/Dick from ladybugkay.

I couldn't actually find the first story I remember reading by her, but I did find this one:

Incoherent by ladybugkay

and then I read it and went EEEEE and flailed and came back over here to make this post and just realized now that I didn't leave a comment. *sigh* I will rectify later, I promise. Anyway, this is sweet and adorable and then hot and sexy and there is lots of awesome internal POV on Bruce's part, and it hits me in my happy place.

So it turns out that yesterday's ripping out of drywall was not in vain. They DID need to get into my pipes in order to reach the leak, and my super was awesome and got the plumbers in fast and then re-did the drywall, but that meant I didn't get to bed until after 1pm. And THAT means that everything that was in my giant front closet is STILL strewn about my living room. And that to the stuff that was already strewn about because of the reconfiguration scheme, and the piles and piles of CDs and DVDs on every surface (I DID tell you guys about the CD cabinet toppling and pelting me with about a hundred and fifty disks, didn't I? About the dozens and dozens of smashed plastic cases? About THAT? *sigh*)... and yeah, my apartment looks like a hurricane has come through here.

I keep trying to mentally break down the tasks. First unhook DVD player from TV, making careful note of where everything is plugged in. Remove TV and player from cabinet. Slide cabinet over. Unhook computer. Etc etc. But it's so very stressful. And I DO have the whole weekend.

I should get to it, though. Maybe after I reply to comments and write a lil fic. And chat to Snick. Way more important. *nods*
