My week thus far:
Sunday night I was having weird pains/feeling like I had to pee allllllllll the time. By the time I got to work I started having pains in my side/back. I cried. I was told that where the kidney is, which scared me, so my sister met me and we went to the hospital. Turned out to be a kidney stone. OUCH. Three and a half hours missing from the next paycheque. Thanks, kidney stone.
Monday evening I checked my voicemail to discover a call from the company that owns the apartment building telling me that the "good news" is that my old apartment got rented on May 15th so I "only" owe them $303. I cried. My old super had told me that they weren't going to make me pay the penalty! UGH. I spent the rest of that night trying to figure out how I was going to pull three hundred bucks outta my ass.
Last night I walked to work in a freakin' monsoon. Okay, no, but it seemed like it. And halfway there a car zoomed through a puddle and LITERALLY soaked me from head to toe. GROSS GROSS GROSS. I did not cry. I did, however, spend my WHOLE night at work drying off -- first standing for an hour next to the space heater to dry the pants, then putting the socks over the space heater, then the sweater, then the shoes, then the coat, then shoes and socks again. My water-resistant coat was soaked ON THE INSIDE. I just. *throws up hands*
I have one more shift tonight and then it's officially my weekend. One. More. Shift. *makes it a mantra*
The one good thing: my amazing friend Amy offered to lend me the $300! How incredible is that? I can pay her back slowly instead of, like, having to work a corner or something. I love my friends.
