Everybody knows about qaf_giftxchnge, right??? It's a Secret Santa type gift exchange.. You write a fic for someone, someone else writes a fic for you. A FIC JUST FOR YOU. *squee* (Um, and there's vids and icons and banners and all kinds of neat presents you can ask for.) Check it out, people.

I bought the Clay Aiken CD yesterday. I can't help it; I just want to snuggle him. There's lots of Clay As Gayest Broadway Performer Ever type stuff, and I admit I love when he belts it out, but the biggest surprise is a very mellow, very sad little version of "Here You Come Again".

34. Angel: Hollywood Noir by Jeff Mariotte
More licensed-fanfic-yay light reading from the library book sale.
292 pages.

35. Full House by Janet Evanovich
Got this from the library book sale too. It's pre-Stephanie Plum. And pretty bad. Independently wealthy, handsome polo-playing Nick meets a bored divorcee with two kids and, um, promptly falls in love with her? Oh-kay. There's absolutely nothing to convince me that Nick would give Billie more than a passing glance. We're just supposed to take it as given that he's smitten beyond belief. The rest of the thing is populated by the usual cast of eccentrics that make up Evanovich's novels.
352 pages.

36. The Program by Stephen White
A lawyer is threatened in court, and her husband is then promptly murdered. So, she goes into the witness protection program. Her sessions with her therapist reveal that she always let the men in her life (her father, her husband) make her decisions, and we're supposed to believe that she's finally taking charge herself when she runs from the program... except that the mobster that befriends her does *everything*. This was frustrating as hell to read. I HATE weak heroines. HATE.
