I finally gave my earrings very close scrutiny in natural-ish light, and found out that the silly wenches at the Piercing Pagoda messed up and gave me yellow gold goddamned earrings. They hereby win Mary's Annual "Most Inept" Award.
I picked out the earrings I wanted -- which were white gold -- but the employee got distracted by some customers, and must have loaded the wrong pair into her piercing gun. What makes me even more incredulous is that I mentioned several times my distaste for yellow gold when they were trying to sell me some yellow gold earrings.
So now, I'm stuck with these vile, tacky studs in my ear that clash with every item of jewelry I own. They have to stay in for 8 - 10 weeks, and that's a long time to be forced to "bling."
Ugh. Is there a way I can change them out? Or is it too late?
