New piercings!
I got my ear pierced today! Two brand new silver studs in the cartilage of my left ear. They hurt.
After the first earring went in, the woman who pierced me suggested that I walk around for a bit, or maybe grab something to eat or drink some water. She claimed that people were usually in terrible pain after a cartilage piercing, and cited one instance when a girl had fainted. She seemed mightily surprised that I just sat there on the stool and said, "That wasn't so bad. I'm ready for the other one now." Really, lady, I am not made of glass.
This brings my piercing total up to 5, and I'm proud. I, however, plan to stop here. At least for a while, anyway.
