I want to write/direct the indiest sci-fi movie ever made. The soundtrack is key. Steely Dan and Devo would be on there for sure.
There needs to be a 21+ tumblr group. I think tumblr's motto is "never trust anyone over 30." I'm tired of seeing a dashboard full of slashgirls drooling over fake gay relationships they've made up in their heads.

Hey, now, I want in on that tumblr group! :( /forever underage
And, well, regarding straight girls and their obsession with sexy (often fictional in all senses of the term) gay men, it's often the objectification/sex appeal. However, I know there's more to it for some, since the whole slash thing can, and sometimes does, create a queer friendly space. I really love that aspect of it, sexy dudes aside.
But, can you get more indie than the sci-fi flick that's in my head that I've not even written down or formulated a plot for? /paradox? MAYBE
Yeah, I see mostly sex appeal. I'm thinking right now of Blaine/Kurt and Sam/Dean. It's also interesting to me that girls will objectify the actor as much, if not more than the character. Yet women are non-stop complaining about irl objectification.
But yeah, I totally agree that slash helps make a queer friendly environment. I think it can surprise people how queer friendly fandom can be. The ridiculous intolerance tends to get called out on fandom_wank or similar places.
Eh, I don't think there's much wrong with a role reversal wrt to objectifying men. Women have been objectified for centuries, so I don't see anything wrong with them turning it on its head and openly treating men as fap fodder. (But, lol omg the shippers are somehow more annoying on Tumblr. AND I LIKE THOSE SHIPS. Mostly because B/K are the epitome of adorable and S/D the epitome of fucked up.)
Right? I was actually really surprised when I first figured that out, it was like having a bunch of amazing people over for a party. AND YES. That's why I love Journalfen, that bunch is largely amazing.
Idk why the shippers on tumblr irk me so much, but they do. It's ruining my buzz. And I love those ships too! omg K/B be still my heart. Maybe it's because it's like an ontd party post, but all the time.
Journalfen is a beautiful place. They make me feel like sanity can in fact exist on the fandom side of the Internet.
Oh, whoops. My bad. My sarcasm metre has been broken by academia.

I know, right? Though, ugh, lately the_HMS_STFU has lost any sort of humor due to the endless posts about creepy Snapefen.
It's all good, lol. I've had plenty of those days myself.
