  • I want to write/direct the indiest sci-fi movie ever made. The soundtrack is key. Steely Dan and Devo would be on there for sure.

  • There needs to be a 21+ tumblr group. I think tumblr's motto is "never trust anyone over 30." I'm tired of seeing a dashboard full of slashgirls drooling over fake gay relationships they've made up in their heads. Someone has to have written a dissertation about why straight girls on the Internet are obsessed with two pretty guys doin' it together. Is it reciprocity? "You've objectified us for decades/centuries, now we're going to objectify you" -- that doesn't seem constructive. But there's got to be more to it. Right? :\

  • I'm going to start seriously blogging again. Only, I don't know whether I should link tumblr to it. It's an easy way to get a lot of followers, that's for sure. I have a srs bns one (and a related srs bns twitter) that I set up forever ago because I knew I was going to be a real adult someday. I'll probably start using those a lot more, because of reasons stated above. It's going to take a little effort finding an entirely new set of tumblrs to follow. That doesn't sound productive at all, but I feel like it's setting the groundwork for success. I remember in high school, when I had hundreds of followers on xanga (lol xanga), I spent a lot of time commenting on others sites. Really, though, it just takes being friends with one popular blogger to get a load of followers yourself.

  • Basically, a social media job would be perfect for me, but it feels a little too much like selling my soul. That's one of the reasons I'm attracted to libraries. They're one of the least-corrupt places I know to work (if you're not working at the Library of Congress, anyway) and the people there tend to be quite down-to-earth.
