One of those RL updates...
kuwdora left this morning, somewhere around the crack of dawn, so she's probably back on the other side of the country by now. But just think: less than a month until VVC! \o/
I'm not sure if it's a good thing or not, but while she was here
kuwdora talked me into actually putting together a costume for this year's Club Vivid. We'll... see how it goes, I guess?
On the family front, my grandmother... really isn't doing that well. They've moved her out of the hospital to a skilled care center, and they've brought in hospice care. My dad doesn't think it's going to be more than another day or two, but we'll just have to see. The doctor is basically saying it could be anywhere from a few minutes to a few weeks.
Right now, if she passes away by Tuesday or so, the plan is that my parents will transfer some gas/food money to my checking account, I'll drive to Tennessee, spend a couple of days making the expected appearances at the viewing/funeral/post-funeral meal/etc., and drive back to Maryland. If it's later than that, we'll just have to see. A large portion of my department start disappearing on vacations starting at the end of next week, so that plan might have to change a bit.
(From what my parents are saying? I... really doubt that's going to be an issue, to be honest.)
While I'm back in Tennessee, I do have a few things I want to check into that might help with some of my financial issues. No details for the moment, but if they work out then things like "paying my bills" will definitely be a lot less nervewracking each month. I mean, I'll still be in debt, but it will hopefully be a lot more... well, consolidated. Also? I won't owe my aunt anything, which is definitely extremely high on my to-do list.
